Activated Granulated Carbon

The AG900 features 6 lbs. of activated carbon to captures chemicals, smoke, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and the AG600 has 3.5lbs. Coconut shells produce extremely high surface area when turned into activated carbon. This allows a higher capacity per pound to capture VOCs and other pollutants than other types of activated carbon. In addition, coconut shells are a completely renewable resource.

“The Airgle AG900 and AG300 air purification devices performed to manufacturer’s specifications and demonstrated a reduction to below testing equipment sensitivity of greater than a 99.998% reduction of recoverable active SARS-CoV-2 virus in the air after 60 minutes of operation. There was no cytopathic effect in the lowest concentration of vero e6 cells, indicating a SARS-CoV-2 virus concentration lower than the limit of detection after a 21-day incubation.”
